Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data the MesinPDF app for Android ("the app") and the MesinPDF server collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. MesinPDF is developed by Sigarda, Surabaya, Indonesia ("we"). By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Data we collect

a. Your account

When you sign in with Google or with email and password, we receive and store on our server:

• your name, email address, profile photo URL and whether your email is verified;
• the identifier of your Google or Firebase account and how you signed in;
• the app version and platform you use, when you joined, signed in and were last active.

Sign-in itself is handled by Google (Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication). We never see your Google password. Email passwords are stored by Firebase Authentication, not by us.

b. Subscriptions and purchases

If you start a trial, buy a plan or redeem a promo code, we store the plan, its status and period, the promo codes you redeemed, and the amount of each order. Payments are processed by our payment partner (or Google Play); we do not receive or store your card or bank account details.

c. Your documents

PDFs, photos, scans, signatures, stamps and Word/Excel files you open or create are processed on your device. Text recognition (OCR) uses Google ML Kit on the device. Files are saved where you choose, by default in Download/MesinPDF on your phone. Your documents leave your device only when you choose to:

• Google Drive sync: if you connect Google Drive, the app uploads the files you sync to your own Drive. It asks only for the drive.file permission, which lets it see the files it created or that you opened with it, not the rest of your Drive.
• Sharing or printing: when you share a file to another app or print it, it goes to the app or printer you pick.

d. Usage analytics and ads

• Firebase Analytics (Google) records how the app is used (for example which tools are opened), with device information and an app instance identifier, to help us improve the app.
• Google AdMob shows ads in the free version. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID, IP address and device information to show and measure ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Google › Ads).

e. Device permissions

• Camera: to scan documents. Photos stay on your device.
• Files / storage: to open your files and save results.
• Bluetooth and local network: only to find and use printers you choose.
• Internet: for sign-in, subscriptions, Google Drive, ads and updates.

2. How we use data

• to sign you in and keep your account secure;
• to provide trials, subscriptions, promo codes and premium features;
• to provide support and to prevent abuse and fraud;
• to understand usage, fix problems and improve the app;
• to show ads in the free version;
• to comply with the law.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Google (Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In, Firebase Analytics, AdMob, Google Drive, Google Play) as described above, under Google's Privacy Policy;
• our payment partner, to process a purchase you make;
• our hosting provider, which runs our server;
• authorities, when required by law.

4. Storage and security

Data travels to our server over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to account data is limited to authorised MesinPDF staff, and administrative actions are logged. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

5. How long we keep data

We keep account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your account, subscriptions, promo redemptions and orders from our server, and your Firebase account. Records we must keep by law (for example for tax) and security logs may be kept for as long as required.

6. Deleting your account

In the app, open the Profile tab and choose Delete account. Your account is deleted at once. You can also ask us by email (below) from the address of your account. Files saved on your phone or in your Google Drive are yours and are not affected; delete them yourself if you wish.

7. Your rights

Under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022) and other laws that apply to you, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Contact us to do so. We will answer within the time the law requires.

8. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and tell you in the app when changes are significant.
